Through our best in class software, WildFire, and team of Recruitment Marketing professionals, we have continued to push the limits of what a Recruitment Marketing Platform should be, and are constantly evaluating new technologies and marketing techniques we can use to enhance our platform for our clients.

Meet the SmashFly executive team:


Michael Hennessy, Founder and CEO


Michael is the Founder and CEO of SmashFly Technologies, a pioneer in on-demand recruitment marketing platforms. Michael is a born entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in large scale systems design and operation, on-demand business application product development, high volume transaction processing and engineering management.

Prior to SmashFly, Michael was the founding Architect and Director of Engineering for BrassRing which was the first company to deliver an enterprise scale on-demand business software application to serve over 50 fortune 500 clients on a single code base. During his employment with BrassRing, he served as chief architect and technologist, leading the development efforts for their on-demand Talent Acquisition System. These products are still being used today by over 180 companies including Fortune 100 companies such as GE, AOL Time Warner, Exxon Mobil and Philip Morris in over 50+ countries.

Prior to BrassRing, Michael was co-founder and CEO of Millennium Productions, an Internet ISP based out of Cambridge, MA where he led the technology, sales, and client services groups. He holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.


Filipp Rakevich, Chief Technology Officer


Filipp is a hands on CTO with more than 11 years experience designing and implementing web based enterprise systems and Windows forms applications. Ever since the introduction of .Net Filipp has been on the front lines of technology and innovation. As a senior member of the Labs team in Kenexa, Filipp designed and developed products for the HR industry using the most advanced technologies available at the time. Following on his career path Filipp worked as a principal developer for the Investment Technology Group in Boston contributing to the design and development of a state of the art trading solution. Filipp oversees all development efforts at SmashFly.

Rich Oasis, Director of Sales


Rich is the Director of Sales for SmashFly developing both the strategic direction and day to day execution of direct and channel sales. Rich's background of sales and recruiting is a perfect match for SmashFly's on-demand recruitment marketing platforms. For the past eleven years, Rich has run his own recruiting business, Network Oasis, providing top candidates for growing companies. At Network Oasis, Rich formulated and executed business solution strategies to acquire, develop, retain, and grow the best possible talent for technology companies. Rich worked with companies that believe the difference between a good and a great organization is the people they employ.

Rich played a large role with one of his clients, Monster.com. In 2005, Monster needed help with Executive Recruiting. As a result of his success finding key talent, Rich was asked to lead an 18 person recruiting team. His team hired 1600 people in 2006. His strategic vision for the recruiting organization at Monster helped define recruiting as partners with the business line leaders. The ability of his team to understand the businesses they supported and proactively search for the best possible talent helped make the difference between a "good hire" and a "great hire."

Before starting Network Oasis, Rich worked for Programart Corporation, a software company based in Cambridge, MA. He held a variety of different sales roles, the last managing IBM Global Services across the country. He helped Programart grow from a $15M company when he joined to approximately $140M in 1999 when the company was sold.

In addition, Mr. Oasis is currently on the Dover Parks & Recreation commission and a member of the Dover Open Space Committee. Previously, he led the Dover-Sherborn Youth Baseball and Softball Programs.

Mr. Oasis is a graduate of Phillips Academy and Ohio Wesleyan University, with a degree in economics management and computer science.


Chris Brablc, Marketing Specialist


As Marketing Specialist, Chris provides leadership for Smashfly's internet marketing efforts - developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that allow Smashfly to get found online through SEO, SEM and social media in order to generate quality inbound leads.

Chris brings experience from a variety of different industries and avenues. Coming out of college, Chris was recruited into Lincoln Financial Group's Professional Development Program where he drove marketing initiatives and developed and delivered messaging for strategic partner communications for their investments and life insurance product lines. Chris is a certified Inbound Marketing Professional through Hubspot's Inbound Marketing University and has start-up experience developing partner initiatives and messaging as a marketing advisor for a small start-up in Boston.

Chris is a proud graduate of Boston College, where he received a BS in Business and is a dedicated Superfan.
